Terms of Service

Booking & Confirmation


All bookings must be made at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the requested session time and confirmed in writing via email. A booking is not confirmed until the studio receives the required deposit and a booking confirmation email is sent by the studio. (Bookings made outside our online system will also require written confirmation.) 

 

Deposit & Payment


A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. The deposit is non-refundable, except where the studio cancels a booking (see Force Majeure & Studio Cancellation). The remaining balance must be paid in full by the day of the session, prior to commencement. No session will begin until full payment has been received. 

Deposit and balance can be paid online via credit card, or via direct bank transfer. Credit card payments will incur a 1.7% processing fee. Only Australian Visa or Mastercard payments will be accepted. 

 

Bond

A $150 refundable bond applies for all studio hire. An additional $150 refundable bond applies for equipment hire. The bond is returned via direct bank transfer to the clients nominated bank account once the studio has been inspected. Damage including (but not limited to) scuffing on the cyclorama wall/floor beyond normal wear, damage requiring repainting, damage to equipment, props, furniture or fixtures, may result in partial or full loss of bond, with additional charges applied if damage exceeds the bond amount. 

Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows

  • Cancellations: To avoid fees, you must notify us at least 72 hours before your scheduled session. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Rescheduling: One reschedule is permitted per booking provided the studio receives at least 72 hours’ notice. Rescheduled sessions must take place within 30 days of the original booking date. If the original booking was made fewer than 72 hours before the session, rescheduling is not permitted and the deposit will be forfeited (this prevents last-minute booking exploitation). Rescheduling is subject to studio availability.

  • No-Shows / Late Arrival: Clients who fail to arrive without notice (“no-show”) will be charged the full session fee. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without prior notification, the studio reserves the right to treat the booking as a no-show. 

Overtime & Session End Time
All bookings are for a fixed duration, with prices listed valid from Monday to Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm. Sessions outside of these hours (between 6pm and 7am Monday - Friday, any hours on weekends) are considered overtime and are by written request only. Overtime hours will incur a 25% overtime fee to the applicable overtime hours. If a session runs beyond the scheduled finish time, the client will be charged an overtime fee calculated at the studio’s hourly rate $110 p.h. (or part thereof), payable immediately. The studio may end sessions that exceed their allocated time if overtime cannot be accepted.

Waitlist
If your preferred date is fully booked you may request to be placed on our waitlist by writing an email to hello@onewayboulevard.com. Waitlist clients will be contacted in order of request. A booking taken from the waitlist will be secured by a 50% deposit and will be governed by these same terms.

Equipment, Set-Up & Creative Briefs
Please provide all creative briefs, equipment requests, prop lists, special setups, or health/safety requirements at least 72 hours prior to your session. While we will endeavour to accommodate late requests, failure to supply required information in time may limit what we can provide and will not entitle you to a refund or reschedule. (If specialty equipment is required and unavailable, the studio will advise options and fees.)

Photographer, Videographer and Other Services

Prices listed for photographer and videographer hire are for shoot time only and does not include edits. Editing packages and content is priced per project and depends on format, quantity, detail and overall requirements of content. Marketing services and content creation are priced as

packages only.  

 

Access Restriction
Certain areas of the studio and/or premises may be noted as off-limits / not included in your booking. These areas will be indicated, noted in your hire contract or noted by our staff, accessing these areas during your booking may incur additional fees.

Damage, Cleanliness & Studio Rules
Clients are responsible for any damage to studio property, fixtures, furniture, cyclorama, or equipment caused by them or their guests. A repair or replacement charge will be invoiced to the client. Please follow all studio safety rules (including no walking or standing on the cyclorama curve). The studio may terminate a booking early for unsafe or abusive behaviour; in such cases the client remains liable for the full session fee. 

Certain areas of the studio and/or premises may be noted as off-limits / not included in your booking. These areas will be indicated, noted in your hire contract or noted by our staff, accessing these areas during your booking may incur additional fees.

The cyclorama wall must be treated with care. Any scuffing beyond normal use, damage, or repainting required will incur charges.

No nails, screws, pins, tape, adhesives, or fixtures may be applied to walls or sets without approval.

Confetti, glitter, powders, fluids, paint, or any messy materials require prior approval. Cleaning fees may apply.

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the studio.

Pets are allowed only with prior approval.

Please advise if you are bringing children under 18 to the studio prior to your booking day. Children must be supervised at all times.

All equipment must be returned in the same condition it was provided in.

 

Insurance & Third-Party Contractors
For commercial or large productions, the studio may require proof of public liability insurance (recommended minimum $5M) for external hirers or third-party contractors. Clients are strongly advised to ensure their own insurance covers equipment, talent, and crew. 

 

Force Majeure & Studio Cancellation
If the studio cannot provide the services due to events beyond its control (fire, flood, power failure, building access issues, pandemic restrictions, equipment failure, or other force majeure), we will attempt to reschedule your session. If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund fees paid for the session. The studio is not liable for indirect, consequential or third-party costs (travel, accommodation, lost income, etc.).

Intellectual Property & Usage Rights
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the studio (and photographer) retain copyright of all images and deliverables. Full payment grants the client a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the supplied images for the agreed purposes (e.g., personal, editorial, or specified commercial use). Additional usage (extended commercial rights, third-party licensing, merchandise, or resale) requires a separate written agreement and fee. The studio reserves the right to use images in its portfolio, marketing and social media unless a written image-use restriction is agreed prior to booking. Any behind-the-scenes or event coverage captured by Oneway Boulevard may be used for studio marketing unless the client requests otherwise in writing prior to their booking.

 

Privacy & Model Releases
By booking you consent to the studio photographing or recording the session. Where the studio wishes to use images of identifiable people for marketing, we will request a model release. Clients must obtain and supply releases for any third-party models or subjects whose images they intend to use commercially.

Liability & Personal Property
The studio is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property, equipment or vehicles brought onto the premises. Clients enter and use the studio at their own risk. Clients are liable for damage to studio property caused by themselves, their team, or their talent. Oneway Boulevard is not liable for injury incurred during use of the studio or equipment.

 

Payment Methods & Late Payment
We accept payment by card (in-studio), bank transfer, and approved online payment methods. Any outstanding invoices must be paid immediately; overdue balances may incur interest or collection costs, and future bookings may be refused until accounts are settled.

 

Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The version published on our website at the time of booking governs that booking.

 

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Queensland courts.
